Veggy Street, a new startup and small family-owned restaurant, faced several challenges regarding its new construction project. As a company with no experience in restaurant construction, they needed a contractor they could trust to provide aggressive pricing, adhere to strict schedules, and guide them through the process. Additionally, Veggy Street had specific needs for its kitchen layout and equipment coordination, which required expertise and flexibility from the contractor and the ability to collaborate with the chef and kitchen staff to ensure an efficient and workable layout.

SHF stepped in as the trusted partner for Veggy Street, taking on multiple roles as the general contractor, design project manager, construction project manager, and superintendent. We offered a comprehensive design-build solution to complete the interior restaurant build-out.
Our services included low-voltage electrical, concrete, HVAC, plumbing, framing, drywall, finishing, millwork, and FRP. We also installed a grease hood with a complete interlock system, a complete fire suppression system, and a monitoring fire alarm. Furthermore, at the client’s request, we added security and audio systems during the construction phase without causing any delays. We also installed an interceptor in the parking lot to ensure the uninterrupted operation of surrounding businesses.
Results:

We delivered a cost-effective project within an unmatched timeline, enabling the restaurant to succeed and expand to two additional locations. To meet the aggressive 7-week schedule, our team worked diligently, including nights and weekends, to ensure timely completion.
